Woman in the middle ancient Roman art at North Carolina Museum of Art, Raleigh
… and as recent as works by the artists commissioned to paint official portraits of former U.S. President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama…
Happiness Between Tails speaks to and from the heart. It connects lovers — of pets, authors, books — and of my still-unreleased novels, “Flamenco + the Sitting Cat” and “Tango + the Sitting Cat.” The stories are my love letters to all who fear they're too odd, too damaged, too old, too whatever to find happiness. How beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
Brought back memories of King Tut, when I was in Egypt back in 1985 – thank you. 🙂
I just spent the last 30 minutes transfixed by the world and work of Karen LaMonte,, via the link you provided. Her work is not only gorgeous, it’s imbued by her sense of history and culture. What talent this woman has. I’ll look to see if there is a LaMonte exhibit near me.
What a progressive museum to offer such variety about the human experience. Art not only reflects the vision of the artist, it also tells of the time period in which it was created. Each artwork offers history, intrigue, and discussion opportunities. Is Karen LaMonte’s Dress as soft and silky as it looks? The hint of the person who wore it – maybe the viewer! No wonder you love this museum, Daal.
Happy Persian New Year to you and your hubby. Hope you’re celebrating with fun, food, family, friends – all the wonderful “F” words!!!!
I don’t have a favorite.. musem’s are a lot like people.. each one is different in its own way, each one is wonderful in its own way, each one is a new adventure and learning… 🙂
