Woman in the middle ancient Roman art at North Carolina Museum of Art, Raleigh
… and as recent as works by the artists commissioned to paint official portraits of former U.S. President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama…
Happiness Between Tails blog/podcast speaks to and from the heart. It connects lovers — of pets, authors, reading — and of my still-unreleased novels. “Flamenco + the Sitting Cat” and “Tango + the Sitting Cat,” are my love letters to all who fear they're too odd, too damaged, too old, too whatever to find love and happiness with or without a partner. How beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
Brought back memories of King Tut, when I was in Egypt back in 1985 – thank you. 🙂
I just spent the last 30 minutes transfixed by the world and work of Karen LaMonte,, via the link you provided. Her work is not only gorgeous, it’s imbued by her sense of history and culture. What talent this woman has. I’ll look to see if there is a LaMonte exhibit near me.
What a progressive museum to offer such variety about the human experience. Art not only reflects the vision of the artist, it also tells of the time period in which it was created. Each artwork offers history, intrigue, and discussion opportunities. Is Karen LaMonte’s Dress as soft and silky as it looks? The hint of the person who wore it – maybe the viewer! No wonder you love this museum, Daal.
Happy Persian New Year to you and your hubby. Hope you’re celebrating with fun, food, family, friends – all the wonderful “F” words!!!!
I don’t have a favorite.. musem’s are a lot like people.. each one is different in its own way, each one is wonderful in its own way, each one is a new adventure and learning… 🙂

I don’t think anything will top the Hermitage, my mission is to see all I can at home or traveling. Having a chronic illness has slowed travel to nothing. I’m hopeful. What is your favorite?
While I love huge amazing ones like the Louvre, I’m partial to one that feels ‘mine’ – a lovely little one called Museum of Latin American Art. Tx for asking, dear ❤
If you make it to Fort Worth Texas, a western suburb of Dallas, visit the Kimball Museum of Art. It’s my little home museaum. They have great donors and and are able to purchase so many greats. You might want to check them out.
great art indeed !! … I guess my favorite art museum is the Louvre in Paris, I remember my first visit there was with my mom and my brother when I was 9 and I was very impressed with the Winged Victory of Samothrace and the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci
