Over a recent long holiday weekend, I visited Portland, Oregon for my first time. The weather was warm, with blue skies and no rain in sight.

Book lovers rejoice! It’s home to Powell’s Books, where book goodness spreads over four generous floors!

Mouthwatering food abounds! Cafes, bakeries, restaurants, chocolatiers, and even their many food trucks (aka food carts) here are delicious and gourmet.

  2. Isn’t their slogan: Keep Portland weird? I think it was a featured city on a tv show I absolutely love (The Mole). It sure made me want to go there, and now your photos and post only made it worse!

    It’s best for everyone if I’d just win the lottery one day. Soon.

      1. There are so many places I still want to visit. And unfortunately I am broke… So either the lottery or a lot of clients in the near future are needed before I can get on any plane, lol.

        1. Do you get much vacation time there? Here in the US most employees only get 2 weeks after a year. Then 3 weeks per year after working at the same place for 5 years.
