That’s not even true. Look at some of the great female actresses, who were icons in their countries, not very beautiful, but real characters, like Anna Magnani, Merlina Mercouri, Charlotte Rampling, Helen Mirren, Simone Signoret etc. etc. There was a Spanish one too, who always played the gypsy matriarchs in the Steinbeck movies. They were not “babes”, but very attractive. I think when I was a child they called that sex appeal, which has nothing to do with “normal” beauty.

I have not heard this expression before. It used to be if she became pregnant out of marriage. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Bless you
