Fellow blogger Roy Lennic describes himself: “I’m just a guy of substance who is limited to a certain place, such that my thoughts are the only thing to express… I write whatever comes to mind, but most importantly what can inspire and help people have good reasoning and make good choices in their lives.” Roy's… Continue reading You Are Amazing by Roy Lennic

Lynn has great tips we can all use.

Great advice offered by blogger Lynn that can serve us at any age…

Often, we read about people writing to their younger selves, sharing advice they wish they had known in their earlier years.  This is done in the hopes that another younger person may read it & benefit from this sage advice.  An attempt to somehow lessen the stress & self-doubt a younger person feels as they move forward in life.

This got me to thinking.

At the age of 54, based on my life experience to date, what advice would I deliver to myself in my senior years?  If I had the chance to have a conversation with my older self, what nuggets of knowledge would I feel it necessary to share?

Hopefully one of my kids will have tucked this away in a safe place, waiting for the appropriate time to present me with my own words of advice.  Lord knows, I won’t be able to find it anywhere & I…

Today is my sister Megan’s birthday. Today is 33 years old. She is currently fighting Lyme Disease. I was able to spend time with her yesterday to celebrate her birthday a day early. She is not feeling well today so she is at home resting. She has really bad vertigo and dizziness. She is currently under a doctor’s care and fighting to get health insurance. I would describe her as a strong independent woman and a hard core feminist. But I would also describe her as an amazing, passionate, wonderful, caring, kind, and beautiful person who is sensitive and she loves to help people. I used to dwell on the negative and say that she was this and that and the other, but I don’t do that anymore. I’ve chosen to the good in her and she has inspired me to keep going even in my darkness moments of my…

Katherine's avatarA Hansen Chronicle

“Great deeds may make heroes; but it is the small deeds, the everyday acts of caring and attention that make friends. And while heroes may inspire us, it is our friends who make inspiration worth pursuing. And so, in the end, the real acts of heroism are simple acts of friendship. So thank you, for being a hero.”
