“Great deeds may make heroes; but it is the small deeds, the everyday acts of caring and attention that make friends. And while heroes may inspire us, it is our friends who make inspiration worth pursuing. And so, in the end, the real acts of heroism are simple acts of friendship. So thank you, for being a hero.”

Nice to read … ( also sweet photo of dog / cart staying together for difficult time ).

Animals are often the beneficiaries of heroism, yet they can be heroes, as well. I have even seen videos of lizards coming to the defense of other lizards.

In addition to recognizing that seemingly small acts are often of more consequence than we know, i especially appreciate Sarah’s idea that our friendships make inspiration worth pursuing.

That photo is too precious. Reminds me of friends of cancer patients shaving their heads. It’s so wonderful to know you aren’t alone when life is rotten.

very true, Sharon – while I don’t wish bad things on others, it still helps to not feel alone…
