Holidays can be nice — and terrible! Family can bring us to our knees — both to swoon and to cringe. Romance can make our hearts flutter or seize.
From Halloween to New Year’s, at least here in the U.S., 24/7 we’re inundated with messages of how this is the time for families and lovers. We’re instructed to either kiss, or to kiss and make up.
Sometimes they’re not possible. At times, they aren’t in our best interest.
Traditional or sacred, I invite you to
join me in acknowledging that some holiday seasons are best ignored. It’s ok to give them a rest. Some years, it’s fine if we just get through them!
We’re allowed to do whatever it takes to mark time, to survive, to thrive through and into gentle holiday-clear January.

A-Men! Just do whatever you’d like for once during this time. I’ve enjoy the message of this post, mainly because what I’ve decided for this year is validated lol

funny, K E, how we all need a bit of validation now & then, no? glad I could help – wishing you a great day – every day!

So true… certain celebrations have become so traditional that they are almost “Clichés”… First and foremost, we need to remember what Christmas means, as it seems the festivity is all about gifts and consumerism, most times.. Sigh. Wishing you the best! 😀

Yes – in addition to consumerism, such high expectations about even relationships heaped onto a small part of the year.
Thanks for your good wishes. Best to you as well!

Good thing because I’d be over to eat it for you if you didn’t. (chuckle)
