Challenge Answer 2 by da-AL

Harper Lee quote about challenge

This is my second of three inspirational quotes about challenges, at the behest of Harvard.

“To Kill a Mockingbird” is one of the few books I’ve read several times. Several months ago, my local public library hosted a delightful series of gatherings where attendees took turns reading from it. Shortly before author Harper Lee passed away, she published a second book, “Go Tell a Watchmen,” which I highly recommend as well.

Today I nominate Insight Your Star, a blog with a mission to help readers to be their best.

Thank you again, Harvard, for this challenge.

    1. Am saddened that poor reviews have kept more people from reading it. She does an awesome job of showing people as complex, not the usual one-dimensional American heroes or villains. Atticus is not so much a racist, but a good man influenced by his times, & how we must all reach high. That’s why she didn’t publish it earlier – because people would not understand.

  1. I only recently read “To Kill a Mockingbird” with my ears. What an amazing book. I absolutely loved it. I haven’t read “Go Tell a Watchman” yet. Must do that soon. Great quote! Thanks.
