The Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach, California, is a great way to spend a rainy day with visiting family!
On display were arpilleras — textiles sewn by the women of MEMCh (Movement for the Emancipation of the Chilean Woman) to protest the 17-year-long fascist regime of Agosto Pinochet. What I show visitors depends a bit on them. Some prefer nature walks, some prefer art galleries, some both …

Where is that & what’s it like?

It is in Hampshire, England. A National Park with free roaming ponies, cattle, donkeys, sheep, and pigs all of which enjoy right of way on the roads. Narrow winding lanes; thatched cottages; moorland; woodland. My blog posts are peppered with photographs and descriptions of all this. Really creative. Not everyone likes museums and galleries like I do. I mostly take them to the river.
Showed mom every museum I like. We have the same taste.
Hub’s sis is a sociologist so I knew she’d be interested. Took her to the Nazi documentation center. What can I say? I live in Munich.
