Video Joy to Soothe You by da-AL with furry and feathered friends

Being a soon-to-be self-published novelist requires learning a) to wear many hats, b) to be absolutely humble, and c) to continually lavish oneself with self-care.

Happiness came this morning to my doggie and me in the form of a walk to the park. The sky bode the kind of sunny day that entices zillions to relocate to Los Angeles. We were greeted with the scent of fresh-cut grass, the caresses of cool breezes on our faces — and the honking of visiting geese!

Thank you’s to this and this and this and this vlogger for teaching me iMovie techniques that added art and several seconds to this micro-video.

How do you derail interior monologues of self-doubt?…

  1. If the dog had seen a danger in the geese, it would have been different, because our dogs want to protect us. He has always looked after you if everything is ok with you and there was no danger…

  2. First of all…I like your dog. Your dog is calm and doesn’t want to disturb the geese which I’m guessing are Canadian Geese?..if I can see from that far. I have a dog too. Still a puppy and would prefer to run after and terrorize them. I like the video. The sounds and sights of nature. Lately, I’ve been more appreciative of nature. Everyday I walk my dog and I hear birds, I see flowers and raised boxes full of growing vegetables in community gardens. I’m more aware now of what’s around me than before. It’s like that saying ” slow down and smell the roses “. Just being present and acknowledging the beauty of what our world gives us.

    1. My doggie kept looking up as I edited it – to make it longer, there’s a little part in the middle that I repeated, only backwards so it would link up better – & I had to adjust the quacking so it would be backwards lolol
