What’s your favorite book from your childhood? I loved Winnie the Pooh.
The best children’s books are ones I appreciate all the more with the passage of time. Here Mr. Wolf, an author of the kinds of children’s books that adults can enjoy too, shares a few of his illustrations…
Here’s Captain Bee Beard – a pirate who has a beard made out of bees! (From Mr. Wolf’s children’s book: Terry The Time Travelling Tortoise.)
Mr. Pong gets his comeuppance! (From Mr. Wolf’s children’s book: The Top Secret Cheese.)
Have you ever seen a Posh-Me-Posh-Ewe animal before? (From Mr. Wolf’s forthcoming children’s book: Mr. Zumpo’s Amazing Zoo of Unusual Animals.)
Happiness Between Tails blog/podcast speaks to and from the heart. It connects lovers — of pets, authors, reading — and of my still-unreleased novels. “Flamenco + the Sitting Cat” and “Tango + the Sitting Cat,” are my love letters to all who fear they're too odd, too damaged, too old, too whatever to find love and happiness with or without a partner. My favorite was Charlotte’s Web. I must have read it about 100 times. I remember my mother had to end up buying it from the library. Or was it that I never returned it and they sent her a bill?
Love the cartoons! I think being a cartoonist for a children’s book would be such a fun job. My favorite when I was really little was Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.

They are. I’m still a bit old-fashioned I’d say. I still like to read a hard copy.

I love that pirate! And my favourite childhood, and adulthood books have always been Winnie The Pooh. Such a gentle world.
